The NARD, in partnership with the Papio-Missouri River Natural Resources District, is excited to announce that registration is available for the 2021 NRD Basin Tour.  The tour will be in Omaha June 7-8.

Join us as the Papio NRD leads us on a two-day tour showcasing several NRD projects that protect lives and property across the Omaha Metropolitan area.  Attendees will get an expert-guided tour of many unique flood control projects that provide flood protection, while also exploring the multi-purpose benefits they provide to local communities.  The tour will include several stops and tours of conservation projects underway that protect both urban and rural natural resources.

The tour will also include stops at some of the NRD’s partner facilities, including a tour of the new STRATCOM building and runway construction at Offutt Air Force Base.  The registration form has needed information to provide to Offutt prior to our arrival, and you must have your VALID ID to enter the base.

Below is the tentative two-day agenda:

Monday, June 7th

Courtyard by Marriott Omaha La Vista – 12560 Westport Pkwy, La Vista, NE

12:00 noon (or at the conclusion of the NARD Board meeting) the bus will be departing the Courtyard by Marriott.  A boxed lunch will be provided when boarding the bus.

Registration will cover all meals and activities, Monday night lodging and motor coach expenses (NARD will make reservations for overnight lodging on Monday as part of your registration).  If you are arriving early and would like a room for Sunday night, reservations need to be made through the NARD as well and will be an additional fee.
