Chemigation Applicator Training 2014

The Nebraska Chemigation Act requires producers who plan to apply fertilizer or pesticide through an irrigation system be certified by the Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality (NDEQ). Certification is valid for four years and training is provided through the extension office.Read more

The State of Nebraska Water Task Force has completed its work in 2013. The results of their effort to review and prioritize funding for water projects in the state has resulted in Legislative bills LB940 and LB1046 which came up for hearings on February 18.Read more

Sign-up period begins March 3rd for NPNRD cost-share programs

Applications are now being accepted for 2014 conservation cost-share funds through the North Platte Natural Resources District. Cost-share programs are available to landowners in Banner, Garden, Morrill, Scotts Bluff and southern Sioux counties for soil, water and range conservation improvements.Read more
