The Natural Resources Districts (NRDs) encourage drip-irrigation use on Nebraska farms to help conserve water and soil nutrients by using less nitrogen on plants. Nebraska State Senator Curt Friesen invested in drip-irrigation and has seen a big improvement on his farm.

Several NRDs have programs and cost share for drip irrigation.
