CPNRD Information Meeting Rescheduled for March 2

(GRAND ISLAND, NE) The Central Platte Natural Resources District's CPNRD Information Meeting has been rescheduled to Monday, March 2, 2015 due to inclement weather. The meeting is being held to explain recent changes to the NRD's Chemigation and Groundwater Quality programs. Dale Chandler, Nebraska Health & Human Services, will present changes to the Well Construction & Decommissioning Standards as well. 

Attendance at this meeting replaces the requirement to take the Nitrogen Management Certification Test for the CPNRD's Groundwater Quality Program. Continuing Education Credits (4 credits) have also been applied for through the NHHS for professional Water Well Contractors License.

The meeting will take place from 9:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m. at the Community Room located at 1515 17th Street in Central City, NE. There is no registration fee and lunch will be provided.

- Irrigation Management Tools & Practices- Dean Krull, UNL demo projects coordinator
- Platte River Recovery Implementation Program- Mark Czaplewski, biologist
- Groundwater Levels & Recharge- Duane Woodward, hydrologist
- Prescribed Fire Ecology & Implementation- David Carr, range management specialist
- Legislative Update- Lyndon Vogt, general manager
