Nemaha NRD Closes Office to Public

03/17/2020

TECUMSEH, Nebraska -- Beginning Wednesday, March 18, the Nemaha NRD will be limiting public access to our building complex at Tecumseh. Our main office and shop buildings will be closed to the public until further notice in response to the COVID-19 virus. This action is in the interest of the health and welfare of both our staff and our constituents.

NRD staff will be on duty and available to answer phones and emails while limiting face-to-face interaction. All deliveries to our office must be left in the vestibule of the main office building. Meetings scheduled in the District’s conference rooms have been cancelled.

If it is necessary for you to meet with one of our staff members, you must call to arrange an appointment and be prepared to answer brief screening questions regarding your health and potential exposure to the virus. However, whenever possible business will be handled by mail, phone, or email.

Customers wishing to purchase park entry permits for Kirkman’s Cove, Iron Horse Trail Lake, Duck Creek Recreation Area, and Wirth Brothers Lake are encouraged to visit our website (nemahanrd.org) to order using your credit card or to print an application that you could mail to our office with your check or money order. You may also purchase permits through the envelopes located at each park. In each case your permit sticker will be mailed to you.

We apologize for the inconvenience; we will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates via our website (nemahanrd.org) and Facebook page. If you have questions, please contact our office at (402) 335-3325 or by email: nnrd [at] nemahanrd.org.
