Lower Platte South NRD Closes Office to Public

03/23/2020

LINCOLN, Nebraska – In accordance with guidelines established by local and state health officials and the federal Centers for Disease Control to minimize exposure to COVID-19, the Lower Platte South Natural Resources District office, at 3125 Portia Street, in Lincoln, will close to the public starting Tuesday, March 24, 2020.

Staff has been divided into shifts that will keep office hours on appointed days, allowing for better social distancing. Staff will also work remotely, continuing to respond to email, cell phone contacts and to calls to the general office phone number, (402) 476-2729. Staff will continue to meet with landowners, contractors and others by pre-arranged appointment.

Monthly Board of Directors and subcommittee meetings will be held remotely. Monitor www.LPSNRD.org or phone the office for each meeting’s public access instructions.

The health and safety of directors, staff and the public are of highest consideration in these operational changes. Staff will continue to monitor coronavirus recommendations and respond as needed to minimize the chances of exposure to COVID-19. The patience and understanding of the public for the duration of these changes will be appreciated.
