Lower Platte South NRD to Hold Emergency Meeting

04/08/2020

LINCOLN, Nebraska – An emergency meeting of the Lower Platte South Natural Resources District (LPSNRD) Board of Directors will be held on Thursday, April 9, at 2 p.m., to consider a City of Lincoln (City) request to use a former fire station, now owned by LPSNRD, to decontaminate medical equipment.

The board will consider entering into a license agreement with the City during the emergency meeting and the City has requested LPSNRD act quickly, so the City can begin decontamination of personal protective equipment used during the COVID-19 outbreak.  The NRD purchased the former Fire Station 10, at 1440 Adams Street, earlier this year.

The emergency meeting will be held via video/teleconference, only.  Anyone interested in- listening to the emergency meeting via teleconference can phone 1-866-740-1260 and enter the access code 4762729.  All LPSNRD public meetings are being held remotely to help keep directors, staff and the public healthy and to stop the spread of coronavirus, per recommendations by health officials.  There is no public viewing or listening to the meeting available at the LPSNRD office.
