BEATRICE, Nebraska -- The Lower Big Blue NRD is offering an enhanced cost-share program on flow meters for high-capacity water wells, which are wells with outputs greater than 50 gallons per minute.

Lower Big Blue NRD’s traditional cost share program offered 50% funding up to $500 but has boosted the cost share rate and maximum allowed if meters are installed by June 15, 2025. Boosted cost-share rates range from $675 to $2,300 per meter. Meters must be installed and inspected by June 15, 2025. Since funding is limited, applicants will be paid on a first-come, first-served basis. This equipment is a great tool to ensure that every drop of water is used efficiently on every acre.
