Lower Platte South NRD Seeks Early Budget Input

LINCOLN, Nebraska – The Lower Platte South Natural Resources District (LPSNRD) Board of Directors (Board) is working to develop the Fiscal Year 2022 Budget, and public input early in the process is most desirable, preferably before the end of June. The annual budget process begins each April, with final consideration of a budget in August. The LPSNRD fiscal year begins July 1, 2021.

While public input is invited throughout the budget process, public comments should be made as early as possible, to maximize the Board’s ability to respond.

“Written public comments on the budget are preferred, since continued virtual Board meetings are likely and we want to be sure we fully understand the public’s suggestions,” said LPSNRD Board Treasurer Robert Andersen.

Written comments may be submitted via email to mmascoe [at] Written comments may also be mailed to:

The public may also choose to contact their district representatives on the Board, as listed at – About – Board of Directors – Your Representative.  Several opportunities for public comment directly to the Board of Directors are built-in to the budget process and anyone providing input may also submit comments in writing at these times:
