Grazing Cover Crop Field Day -September 20

(KEARNEY, NE) Jim Campbell will host a field day that focuses on cover crops for grazing. A tour will be held at 10:00 a.m. at Campbell’s field in Kearney on Wednesday, September 20, 2017. Following the tour, lunch will be provided at the Buffalo County Extension. Topics of discussion and presenters will include:
-Field peas AS A CASH CROP- Strahinja Stepanovic, EE-UNL
-Economics- Del Ficke, Producer
-Cover Crop Mixes- Roberts Seed
-NRCS Cost Share Available- Teri Holt Edeal, CA-NRCS
-Fence/Water Demonstration- Jason Gross, High Plains Solutions

Participants are asked to meet for the tour at the field located ¼ mile east of Hawk (N St) 130th Road in Kearney. There is no registration fee. Lunch will be provided by Roberts Seed of Axtell.  RSVP to reserve meal by September 15, 2017 at (308) 743-2565.
