North Platte NRD Seeking Input about Water Management

North Platte NRD Seeking Input about Water Management

09/19/2017

The North Platte Natural Resources District (NRD) is looking for residents’ opinions on water related topics such as, groundwater management for agricultural irrigation and aquifer recharge, municipal uses, and water for habitat management.  The survey is open to residents and regular water users in Banner, Garden, Morrill, Scotts Bluff, and Southern Sioux Counties.

After the completion of the survey, the results will be analyzed and, if you choose, the NRD will send you a description of your overall water perspective, or your water sign.  Feedback from residents and regular water users will help the District to prepare for our 2018 Integrated Management Planning which will direct District water management for the next 10 years.  It is also recommended that the survey not be taken on a phone since it is difficult to view complete questions on the small screens.

For more information or to take the survey, visit www.npnrd.org or call (308) 672-2298.
