Lied Bridge - Platte River Connection
Lied Bridge - Platte River Connection
In 2002, Lower Platte South NRD opened the Platte River Connection; a former railroad bridge over the Platte River, converted for trail use. On the western side, a trail connecting the bridge to a nearby parking area has been developed. Lower Platte South NRD hopes to extend its MoPac East Trail from Wabash, north to the bridge, making the Platte River Connection a vital link in a recreational trail between Lincoln and Omaha.
